Customer Review: “I am using this tracker for safety purposes in the Dominican Republic. It is the fourth I’ve tried. Unreliable connections, short battery life, inaccurracy, and poor software plaqued the others. I couldn’t get good information about how this unit might work in the DR, but decided to try it. My expectations were low due to the previous products. Turns out this is what I have been looking for. I didn’t even know if it would connect, but it did so instantly and without hassle (literally turned it on, went to the tracking site and it was good to go). I walked the tracker through the house as a test, just to see if it would detect the motion. It did, and to my amazement, it also reported the details of the movement; distance and turn for turn. That I was not expecting. Once on the vehicle, it has been equally reliable and accurate. The software is robust, giving location details, individual tracks, street views where the vehicle has stopped (not everywhere, but more than one might expect in the DR). You can run a reenactment of the vehicle’s movement at 1X to 100X. This is much better than a bunch of static lines that you have to decipher. You can just watch what really happened. There are many device settings, reports, alarms, and other parameters that you can set. I haven’t gotten that far into those features and probably don’t need to, but it is by far the most comprehensive system I have seen. I imagine the results are all the more impressive in the U.S. where more satellite detail and streetviews are available. The one thing I cannot report on is the impressive stated battery life. I have one week’s experience with no decline, but will report back with the actual results once I have them. I had been frustrated at the the results of previous units, and figured I would have to settle for whatever I could get. This tracker is far better than I expected, and actually more than I need. The cost was no higher than the others. Very Impressive.P.S. Being so impressed, I read the 1,2 and 3 star reviews.
