Right angle connector is sturdy and helps protect the cable in the pocket. The cable itself is also slightly thicker than competitors. I have picked up my phone off the floor by the cable 3 times in the last week and not suffered any consequences. The fit is just as comfy as you would expect out of this style of earbuds and easy to lie sideways on. Customer Review: This style of sleep headphone is my absolute favorite for the perfect balance of comfort while side sleeping, blocking enough noise from a snoring spouse to allow me to sleep, and “good-enough” sound quality. I’ve tried a wide range of sleep headphones and it’s often “pick two” of those, but not all three. Another set I had of this similar design had a flaw where they would short out with the slightest tug on the cord (something almost guaranteed to happen sleeping in wired headphones) but this pair has held up well and they seem to be long-lasting. This will be far less wasteful if they can last twice as long, but they are already well worth the extra cost for the fact that they actually stay in my ears all night! One important tip I will share: the suction on these is REALLY strong, so be sure to break that seal by squeezing the earbud gently when removing it. I don’t recommend pulling them out of your ears abruptly – a friend of mine ruptured his eardrum doing that with earplugs of a similar design.

These headphones do not have volume controls, but for me this is a good thing. Frayed wires around volume controls sometimes causes ghost inputs where your phone volume gets set to zero or the max. Waking up to music blasting in your ears is quite unpleasant! There is no risk of that here. The cord is round, which seems like a small thing, but actually it’s much harder to fray wires with a round wire. If you’ve had a linguine-shaped cord, you know any kind of rolling friction is likely to twist the cord. This cord is smooth and round, so most rubbing against it will slide over instead. This makes it last a surprisingly long time for the cost. I would choose this over a braided wire. Now you may be thinking, all this is great, but I have no intention of sleeping with headphones.
