I genuinely expected these to be complete garbage and I would end up returning them. However, I am completely shocked at their quality. No, they dont have top of the line audio, the sound quality it decent, but a little thin. The bass is a little weak, but it comes through clearly. It is easy to pair and easy to operate. They sit in my ears comfortably, as do the arms.. They also do not interfere with my glasses. Most importantly, they stay in place. Yes, I shook my head back and forth pretty quickly and they didnt feel like they moved an inch.I will give it one minor con. While absolutely functional, the case is terribly designed. Its made of cheap plastic. I would expect it to crack if it was dropped onto a hard floor from a medium height. What makes it worse is the plastic is super smooth and slippery. I think someone realized that too late and just added some ridges in the top. This is dumb, as you dont hold it by the top. Its also molded into a shape that just feels awkward to hold in one hand. The one good thing about the case, is that it stays closed with magnets which are strong enough to hold it shut – even with some strong shaking.

Customer Review: I had been searching for a decent pair of wireless waterproof earbuds where the battery would play music for at least 4 hours on a full charge. I wasn’t going to even consider any pair fitting my needs priced below $40, until my daughter told me about these, saying she really loved them and used them until she lost one of them after only a few weeks of use. So I bought them, and have all positive things to say about them, except for one thing. Here goes:PRO’s:- They come with 4 pair of different sized rubber fitting tips- Using the pre-installled earbud tips, I was shocked in surprise that all it took was one quick finger press and they fit snugly and better than any other pair I have ever worn. As opposed to having to fiddle with them, twist and turn with a bit of force to make them stay in position. Not these – perfect instant snug fit that stays in place!- near continuous run time playing music or listening to audio books is at least 4 hours! Are you kidding me? For under $15, having 4-5+ hours battery time? Awesome!- When you need to keep using them but a battery dies – This is awesome – One side will always run out of battery before the other. When it does, or better, when it gives the 1st of 3 warning beeps that it is getting low, immediately take it out of your ear and put it in the charge case. OMG. It will charge to 80-90% in 20 mins or so! This means, when one starts to die, put it in the charge case, still listening to the other one. When that dies, even if it’s 10 or 20 minutes later, put that one in the charge case, and start listening to the other one that you just put in the charge case a few minutes ago. You will find that it will run long enough for the one you just put in the case to charge to get to a full charge! Doing this, you will always be listening to at least one, but after a couple of times swapping them in/out of the charge case, they charge so fast that you will be back listening to BOTH again for another 1-2 hours, as the charge case if fully charged overnight will charge both earbuds at least 2-3 times. This is amazing – I’ve had to do this trick of using one while charging the other, but never do they charge fast enough to soon be using both again the same day because of such fast charge times compared to long run times. $15!!! This is an exceptional product and rare to have so many great features for pretty much a cost that makes them disposable but they are anything but!!- Sound quality! OMG! Really nice deep base response, and nothing missing throughout the mids and highs either!- The phone app makes it easy to pick from a huge repository of EQ settings. The phone EQ app isn’t just a cheap attempt so they can advertise it as having a 10 band EQ – it is a bonafide 10 band EQ with a 10 DB range (+5 to -5 per each frequency band). You can create as many EQ templates as you like, give them a custom name, save them, even share them. At least 100 or more you can access from other users whose templates show up in the app.-Waterproof! I use them working in the yard (sweating profusely) at the gym, and in the shower blasting hot water from the shower head right on them.CON’s:- Just one. As stated, they fit perfectly… until. At some point wearing them for an hour or so, you can feel one starting to get loose – DAMN! There it is on the ground – I hope it didn’t break. Whew, it’s still fine. It might just be me, but every single day, after wearing them both for at least an hour of a perfect fit – the moment I feel either one starting to loosen up – is when it is falling out. I took Karate, and I;m known for my fast reflexes, but not once so far have I ever been able to stop either one from falling out. Like I said, they fit perfectly, so I don’t adjust them. They seem like they never move at all, maybe my ears build up with a thin layer of humidity/sweat, but without notice either one will just pop out faster than I can try to catch it free-falling 6 feet from my head to the ground.So it’s been several weeks, so each one has jumped without a parachute to a crash landing on the ground every day, so each one roughly 20 6 foot drops, most of which to cement or asphalt. They both still work 100%, so I am just more surprised than upset at this phenomenon. Perhaps I’ll attach a string to them, so when one falls out, I will have time to cup the opposite ear, and it will only fall the length of the string and not hit the ground.Instead of a string, I’ll just buy at least one more pair, probably two, so that whenever one breaks, is lost, no longer lasts long after charging, it will become disposable (unless first try to take it apart and see if I can buy a super small rechargable battery and replace it myself, who knows, just a fun “maybe” thing.I completely 100% endorse these earbuds though. Even in the comments, there doesn’t appear to be any issue that keeps coming up over and over, a sign of a well-designed product with a rare lifecycle!

I am super hard on them and have lost a number of them from falling out of my ear(s) and into somewhere I couldn’t or refused to retrieve them from. I have also used them until the batteries gave up and wouldn’t charge anymore. But one thing I can say for sure…. They are priced GREAT, they sound GREAT and I have had them in my ears day in and day out for many years. These NC9 Hybrids are actually a game changer right out of the box. This model fits better than any other pair I have owned over the years and if they last as long as the other sets have, I will have them for a very long time (as long as I don’t lose one, of course). These sound even better than previous generations and I assume it is because they have redesigned them from last gen. Quality is solid, they feel good in the ear and they paired right up to my phone in seconds. These are a durable choice and I highly recommend them if you want an inexpensive, great sounding and comfortable earbud.What I CAN’T speak to with these is any of the functions adjustable or enabled with the TOZO App. Because they are an in ear device, they do a lot of passive noise cancellation already. I won’t install the app to try and see what other adjustments they have simply because I refuse to add another app that has assumed overseas connections or servers. Apps that do that kind of thing tend to make me, the consumer, the product. I WILL NOT fault TOZO for this as it is just my preference and I can’t verify one way or the other what if anything the app does. I love them as they are and that is just fine.

I haven’t tried intense exercise with these yet, but they did pass the food-chewing test. In other words, I don’t feel the left earbud slowly creeping out of my ear canal while I’m eating, which is what usually happens with other earbuds.The earbud sync up to my iPhone quickly, and the tap controls on the earbuds are very responsive. I like that you can tap the left earbud to activate/deactivate noise canceling. It comes in handy when someone is trying to talk to me through the noise canceling; however, the single tap does switch you to Tozo’s “Transparency Mode” instead of “Normal Mode”, which mean the earbuds will amplify any exterior sounds which can be grating in loud environments. Just a caution if you have super sensitive hearing already.I can’t speak much about how they work for phone calls. In a quiet environment, the person on the other end of the line has said they can hear me just fine. I’d be interested to see how they function in a noisy environment. My basic AirPods are still my go-to for phone conversations, just because I’ve never had the person on the other end of the line say they’re having a problem hearing me, that is if the AirPod will stay in my left ear, which it won’t whenever I’m walking around.The noise canceling is probably my favorite feature. I used the earbuds on a plane, and I felt they did an acceptable job of filtering out the plane noise and allowing me to enjoy my music and movies. They worked so well on a 14-hour car ride that sometimes the driver was trying to talk to me, and I had no idea he was speaking unless I was looking directly at him.
