Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I have been on a search for over the ear or on-ear headphones that when used with a laptop sound good, are not expensive, and (here’s the big eliminator) are comfortable to wear. I am going to compare 4 phones which are readily available: Panasonic RP- HT 21 (current prices as of 4/12 – $4.49), Koss Portapro ($18.72), JVC HA-S160-B ($14.23) and AKG K240 (4.5) ($93.90) The AKG’s were to be used as a sound benchmark.I listen mostly to classical music, soundtracks, and jazz. I used the following music: Katsarsis playing the Kreisler Praeludium, Rattle and the LA Philharmonic doing the adagio from Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Symphony, and von Karajan and the Berlin doing the opening of Strauss’s Thus Sprach Zarathustra. The phones were powered only by a laptop because that is what most people will use lightweight phones for (that or other small listening devices) For that reason the AKG’s were not a good choice because it could not reach even moderately high sound levels from my Toshiba laptop. The sound was super smooth on the AKG’s but the lightweights were more compatible with the laptop. The Panasonics sound good with mid range music, like the Kreisler piano music, but their weakness showed in the Strauss. They could not handle the complex, loud tones with any finesse. I give the JVC’s a small edge sonically over the Koss’s overall because while they both handled detail and loud volume about the same, the JVC showed a bit more reality in the music. By that I mean, e.g., horns sounded more like horns and not synthesized sound. Both Koss and JVC allowed you to hear the decay and space in the Strauss opening. Now, on to comfort. The Panasonics are very small and light and one can wear them for a long time without even noticing them. The Koss’s have a clumsy headband, and I found the pressure on the ear uncomfortable after 15 minutes or so. The JVC’s, which use a simple headband, were almost as comfortable as the Panasonics. The AKG’s, like many over the ear phones, started becoming oppressive after 15 minutes. Note: I have a large head and this comfort level assessment may not be true for people with smaller noggins.I would use the Panasonics for times when they might receive heavy handling, such as when commuting on public transportation. They are cheap (and a real bargain) so damage will not be costly. The Koss were just a bit too clumsy to use – Koss needs to abandon its weird headband design. The JVCs were a clear choice for everyday listening with smaller devices. I think the AKG’s just need a real amplifier to power them.In short, I thought the JVC’s were a clear winner in this bargain/comfort category.”
Customer Review: “hello,if you do not want to spend dollars on a set of earphones on the ear, this is the one to get. the bass is outstanding for such a low cost no in the ear canal sound. it is light weight and not those large ear covering speaker covers. yet, it gives crisp clear sound as if it is a $100 dollar set of over the ear set up earphones.i have a set of small in the ear buds. but, my ear cannot take them listening too long as the object in the ear is bothersome. so, these small outside of the ear pads are so comfortable, yet i can hear a voice from the other room. JVC makes good stuff and this is no exception.some small units from other companies look good, but have no bass, even using an outside sound app. these JVC units hit the spot right as you put them on without any adjustments necessary. the bass is great and so is the rest of the music i listen to when drawing or just watching the surrounding coastal view.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Firstly, the color is soon cute, and exactly as pictured. I am so in love with the aesthetic of them. They also came fully charged, which was awesome so I got to use them immediately.Secondly, the quality is super good so far. Whether listening to podcasts, rap, or metal music, the sound quality has been perfect. They are compatible with both my switch 2 and my phone which is to be expected, but still happy there were no surprises or difficulties there. They aren’t exactly noise canceling though. When they’re on with no sound playing, other sounds are just dulled ever so slightly. When sound is playing, you can still hear people talking and other sounds like fans, but outside sounds aren’t obtrusive and are blocked fairly well.I also really like how big the ear holes in the pads are, I wasn’t expecting that. My whole ear fits inside them, which makes them super comfortable since they aren’t smooshing the tops of my ears into the arms of my glasses. It also makes them really comfortable to wear while laying down, again because they don’t smoosh my ears.I haven’t had them long enough to really put them through the paces on charging or audio hours, but I will come back to add to this review a little later to comment on that.So far, so amazingly good! Super pleased with the quality for the price I paid.”
Customer Review: “For an inexpensive pair of headphones, I’d say it was a good investment. The sound quality is very clear, although songs like Golden Hour the instruments could sound more crisp. They do not fully cancel noise, however, but do block out some. They can also reach high volumes without becoming tinny, although I have never used at full blast to avoid bursting an eardrum 😂They are very comfortable and light weight. I just wish they fit on my neck better because they are very right.I also love the color- it’s so bright and fun! That is partially why I went with this brand, too. They connect very well to my iPhone, too. While there are better headphones, I would recommend if you don’t want to spend a bunch of money. They will work and don’t break in a month and you’ll overall have a fairly good sound.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “These bluetooth speaker headbands are incredibly comfortable. I sleep in mine, can’t even feel the speakers on my ears. Sound quality is EXCELLENT! They were super easy to pair with my phone. I use mine to help me go back to sleep when I wake up with my nightly bouts of insomnia. I slip on my headband, turn on a deep sleep frequency music channel, and I’m able to drift back to sleep in less than 10 minutes. This is a first for me after years of every other intervention imaginable. These fit my almost-child-sized head without slipping off, and bonus (!) stay exactly where I put them on my ears. The battery is USB-C rechargeable, and lasts me a week of nightly use (4-6 hours per night) before I need to recharge. I have zero complaints about these headbands. They work exactly like I wanted, are easy to set up, sound great, are affordable, are comfortable, and are useful to either entertain me or help me go to sleep without bothering my husband happily snoring away next to me.”
Customer Review: “OMG what can I not say. These hand bands are so comfortable, and the battery lasts a very long time. It works over 8 or 9 hours. Sound quality is amazing also. Definitely worth the money.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I received my first ‘pair’ of SleepPhones (black felt, medium) yesterday and used them last night while falling asleep, so the review is for my initial impressions and not long-term durability. It took me a minute to figure out the proper way to wear them — I think the label goes up by the top of your forehead, facing in a way that someone looking at you would be able to read it — this leaves the speaker wire hanging down your back. The speakers were pretty much in the right position, but I did have to nudge one of them a little to get it in front of my ear.My first experience with them was listening to a guided visualization/meditation, binaural ASMR style (ASMR stimulates a relaxing sensory response in some people). Right away, I was very impressed with the speaker quality. I would say it is as-good as my $200 on-ear pair, but far and away more comfortable for sleeping. The headphones become one with the pillow and are almost ‘invisible’ in that sense.I say ‘almost’ because the headband itself, while a perfect fit for me (average size women’s head), was a tiny bit uncomfortable and warm, but it’s a minor detail overall and I can’t really think of a better way to get speakers to stay on my head (except to try the molded in-ear headphones, which I’ve yet to shell out for). I’ll add that I have tried LOTS of different headphones and never really found any of them to be comfortable for more than 30 minutes or so. The SleepPhones were far more comfortable, sounded great, and did not bother my ears at all! Given how comfortable they are, I am curious to try a headband made from a lighter fabric for daytime use. For night-time, however, the soft plush felt is the way to go, IMO.Moving on… the cable is braided and although thin is nice quality and doesn’t get twisted up like some of the thicker cable styles. There cable is long enough to place your playing device (iPhone, etc.) on the bed-stand, but I would say it is just long enough for this purpose and you can’t really move. While you can purchase aux cable extenders, an extra foot of length would be nice to have and I can’t see how it would add much to their manufacturing costs. I think this point has been made by other reviewers. When my meditation ended, I woke up enough to take these off, meaning I did not sleep through the night with them. Judging by my experience, I expect that they would be comfortable for many hours of sleeping/wear and the only problem would be tangling yourself in the cable when moving in your sleep. I have fallen asleep with regular headphones (my v-moda on-ear) and the extended pressure causes discomfort on the ears that can last for an hour or more. I think the SleepPhones would even be suitable for side sleeping since I turned by head to the side while wearing the band, and the speaker is so low-profile that it just blended into the pillow.Overall, I have to give 5 stars when comparing these to the general quality of what’s out there. You can tell a lot of attention went into making these and the price is reasonable too. I hope they hold-up because most of my cheaper headphones lose sound in one speaker after a while. If they last a year or even six-months of heavy use, I will be very happy and will have considered this money well spent for enabling my relaxation time.”
Customer Review: “UPDATE: I have since purchased an Size Extra Small SleepPhone and, after a couple of nights to get used to the tighter fit, it is MUCH more comfortable and the sound quality is actually even better b/c it is a tighter fit.Pros:– VERY comfortable – it’s very lightweight and I can barely tell I’m wearing it; it appears to stay in place through the night.– You’ll be sure to hear the fire/house alarm as it does not block external noises (e.g. snoring)– The cord is long enough to keep you phone on the nightstand.– It’s less expensive than the Bluetooth versions — and less bulky due to the absence of the Bluetooth module.– Sound quality is very good – no issues at all with the sound quality.Possible Cons:– Does NOT block external noises. If you are trying to block out snoring, this definitely will NOT do it.– The cord would be better if it was just a itty bitty bit longer. (e.g. six inches?)– It’s not Bluetooth compatible.– At a normal listening level, your bed partner/someone near you MIGHT be able to faintly hear noise coming from the band, but not enough for them to be able to distinctly hear what is being played and it certainly shouldn’t be a nuisance to them.About me:Head size: 21inchesSleepPhones Size: M – One Size Fits Most — UPDATE: I have since purchased an Size Extra Small SleepPhone and, after a couple of nights to get used to the tighter fit, it is MUCH more comfortable and the sound quality is actually even better b/c it is a tighter fit.Mostly Side-sleeperHave been using the product for about 3 weeks at time of this review.Thankfully, my husband is not a ‘shake the house’ snorer, and his rhythmic snoring actually puts me to sleep some nights. Oddly enough though, it’s his audible mouth breathing that keeps me awake, so I had gotten in the habit of putting in my ear buds and listening to calming instrumental music so I could have something else to focus on while trying to get to sleep. (YellowBrickCinema, on YouTube, has some GREAT soothing music, and they have many tracks that are a full 8hrs long!)Earbuds worked great, and they even blocked out his snoring completely, but (a) they aren’t comfortable and (b) they are not good for your ear health (e.g. bacteria) and (c) I felt like I couldn’t move around much due to their placement and lack of comfort – plus, the cords running from my ears always ended up on my face. So, I went on a search for an alternative to earbuds. I really wanted to get a Bluetooth compatible device. After comparing most brands and styles, AcousticSheep seemed to be the most reliable and well made, but the Bluetooth option was just a bit more than I was willing to pay, so I decided to try out their Classic Wired version – “maybe the single cord won’t be that big of a deal”, I thought. I was RIGHT!I DO wish the cord was a just a tad bit longer though. I sleep on my left side – the nightstand also sits to the left of the bed, so essentially, I am facing the nightstand – a single cord runs behind my head, then under my pillow and into my phone on the nightstand with no issue. Granted, I don’t roll around a lot in my sleep – I mostly stay on my left side or roll over onto my stomach and sometimes I rollover onto my back – but I have yet to get tangled in the cord or have my phone fall off the nightstand due to any of my movements. Still, I tend to feel like I’m at the “end of my rope” so it would be nice if it were “plenty long enough” instead of “just long enough”.The BEST thing I LOVE about this product is how COMFORTABLE it is! Again, I sleep on my side, so I was specifically looking for something that wouldn’t press on my ear cartilage when laying on the speakers, and I swear I can’t even feel the speakers AT ALL! Now, this may have something to do with my pillow – I use a medium firm pillow, but it has lost a lot of its shape and has become quite soft; Maybe someone using a more firm pillow might feel the speakers, but I would think it would have to be a REALLY firm pillow – so firm that I can’t imagine how the speakers would actually make it any less comfortable at that point. Lol– The headband is super soft; It is also not very thick at all and very breathable, which makes it very lightweight and less likely to generate any heat on my head.– It’s not too tight and not too loose – just right for me! I seriously cannot even tell it’s on my head!– I wear my hair in a high ponytail at night and the band runs from the base of my head and then sits high on my forehead, — again, can’t even feel it on my face, and I certainly don’t feel like my face is being pushed down.– The speakers are SUPER THIN – like millimeters thick – and they are shielded with a course burlap type fabric on each side to make them flush on both sides inside the headband. The speakers can also be re-positioned to cover exactly where your ears are when wearing the band – they can be moved inside the band with ease, but not so much ease that they would move around while you are actually wearing the band.– The speakers can also be completely removed to wash the headband. They weren’t exactly the easiest to remove and reinsert, but it certainly wasn’t hard or frustrating by any stretch of the imagination, just takes a bit of patience is all; the hardest thing is literally just figuring out the left/right orientation, if that even matters to you. (the speakers are marked). I haven’t washed mine yet, but I don’t foresee there being any issue. The Velcro enclosure on the back of the band is very well protected by fabric and the entire band seems to be very well made.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Ok, so here’s everything you need to know about these headphones. I bought these noise canceling headphones to drown out the noise outside my apartment (gun range nearby, door slamming neighbors, weed whackers, roosters, neighbors bumping music, neighbors riding dirt bikes, etc.), and they work great for that purpose! I can’t hear any of that stuff anymore, and I don’t know why I didn’t get noise canceling headphones years ago. You can still somewhat hear some of the higher pitched noises, like your appliances beeping when they’re done (which I like), but every other noise is pretty nonexistent. The battery lasts a really long time (I’ve had them on multiple times from the moment I wake up, until the moment I go to sleep, and I’ve never ran out of battery yet). They’re pretty comfortable for extended wear when you get them positioned right (I found that if your ears start to feel fatigued, wiggle the ear cups around a little to position your ears in them better, and that solves the issue). They don’t really make your ears sweaty, and are adjustable to fit any sized head. They are comfortable and fit well over glasses too. The ear cups and foam on the underside of the bridge are very soft, and the headphones appear to be well made, and don’t look or feel cheap at all. The sound quality is 10/10, and low’s, mid’s, and hi’s are very well balanced. No issues with making phone calls, and they sound clear on the other end too. They also have a button that turns the noise canceling feature on or off in case you need to hear what’s going on around you, and volume up and down buttons that also skip music tracks forward and back. I’ve used them a lot since I got them a month ago, and for the most part, they have been issue free. The range is pretty good too, and haven’t had any issues leaving my phone in one room, and walking around my apartment. Every once in a while the music will cut out for a millisecond, but it’s pretty rare. There’s a bit of a delay when watching anything on my computer (0.2 seconds), and have been able to compensate for it in my media player, but still working on fixing the delay when watching videos online. The ear cups rotate 90 degrees to fold flat to save space. The biggest thing I want to mention is if you have your headphones connected to your phone, and you get a notification such as a text or an alarm, there is an inverse relationship to how loud that sound will be relative to how loud the rest of what you’re listening to is. For example, if you’re listening to music very softly, or your music is paused, the alerts you get from your phone will play at maximum volume (and I’m talking scare the living daylights out of you volume). I’ve tried adjusting the volume of the sounds on my phone, but found that I had to turn them down so low that I couldn’t hear them when I wasn’t listening to the headphones. The only workaround I’ve found is any time I have my phone connected to the headphones, I always have music playing at a volume of at least a low-medium level, which makes the alerts come through at a comfortable volume. Other than that, no real issues. For the price, these are a steal. Definitely recommend!-edit: I found a way to fix the issue with the headphones playing sounds from texts or alarms at maximum volume: on iPhone, go to settings, sounds, headphone safety, reduce loud sounds, and that fixed the issue.Did you find this review helpful?”
Customer Review: “Excellent product. Great price. Work well with no issues. Sounds quality is good and they are very comfortable. They connect well and seem very durable when our 2 year old grandson drags them around the house.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I have used a wide variety of headphones including both wired and wireless headphones. I don’t like wired headphones, because they are quite cumbersome, very inconvenient and not noise cancelling. I also used to wireless headphones of Apple. They are so good, but it is easy for me to forget or lose, and their battery life is not what I expected. My criteria for buying a headset are good battery life, comfort when using, good sound quality. After a while for searching a headphone online based on my criteria, I found the right headphones for me, which are wireless over-the-ear headphones. The wireless over-the-ear headphones help you move freely without worrying about getting tangled or entangled in objects, with noise cancelling, it is light and very comfortable while using. These things are especially useful for doing housework, jogging and working.I begin to search a few types of headphones on Amazon. My budget to buy a new headphone about under 100 dollars. With this budget, I found quite a few quality headphones brands. Such as, Bose, Sony, JBL, Marshall… After a while, read reviews and compare the types of headphones with each other. I chose Sony WH-CH720N headphones for 88 dollars on Amazon. After using this headphone for about 5 months. I feel it worth the money spent. I like these advantages of it. Such as, good battery life (35 hours with noise cancelling), good noise cancelling, good quality sound (I can customize the sound quality according to my preferences through the app of the headphones). In addition, it has a lot of colors to choose and light weight (comfortable for using a long time). Although, I even don’t like a few things about this headphone as it is made of plastic so it is very scratchy, there is no headphone case.Sometimes, I also use it when travelling by plane, when I travel by plane, I often have tinnitus and very tired of the surrounding noise. But since using these headphones to fly, I have eliminated a lot of tinnitus and noise; it both entertains me and helps me sleep on the plane. I’m also quite impressed with its durability because I sometimes drop it when I don’t notice, but it’s scratched a little bit, not dented. This headset comes with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm microphone audio cable. It is very reasonable to spend on gaming, when connecting the cable, the sound delay will not be available, which will make the gaming experience more interesting. When I bought this headphone, the price was very good, only 88 dollars, usually I see that the price of this headphone about 179 dollars. The price of this headphone like a robbery.Overall, this headphone is a very good headphone in the price range. It fully meets the requirements that I wanted before buying it such as comfort, good sound quality, long battery life, good noise cancelling. Its disadvantages do not affect my experience too much. It’s a great headphone. I believe that if you choose it, it will not disappoint you. I will rate this headphone 4.5 stars.”
Customer Review: “I can honestly say that these headphones are worth the investment. There are times when I still need to plug in my headphones with a 3.5mm cable, so I like that I can use them wired or wirelessly. When it comes to using them wirelessly with Bluetooth, they are amazing. You can connect the headphones to a single dedicated device or to two devices simultaneously. For me, that is such a great feature. I use the headphones to connect to my computer for work purposes, but they’re also connected to my phone as well. The sound quality is the best I’ve ever gotten from a set of headphones. I’ve never experienced noise-cancelling audio as precise as this. And for the times when you don’t need to totally cancel everything out, the ambient sound mode provides audio that is just as good. The Sony Sound Connect app you use with these headphones is designed to deliver the best possible sound. The equalizer function lets you control how you experience whatever you’re listening to, offering options like bright, relaxed, vocal, speech, and bass boost.I use these headphones all day while I work, and they hold a consistent charge. I still have plenty of battery life left at the end of the day, but I usually plug them up to charge when I’m done with them. The volume control buttons on the headphones are easy to use. The only thing that can be frustrating at times is that the button to stop/start a song or move to the next track is right in the middle of the volume buttons, so I end up hitting it when I want to raise the volume. However, it is nice that they’ve also included a button on the headphones to toggle between noise-cancellation and ambient sound.Again, I use these for work, so I wear them for the majority of the day. They fit well and are comfortable to wear. As the day wears on, my ears do get a little warm from the cushions around the headset, but compared to how much I like using the headphones, it’s a minor issue. The only other item of note is that, given the investment, it would be nice to include a storage box or bag.If you’re on the fence about buying these headphones, I highly recommend them. They are worth the investment, and you’ll be pleased with both the sound and design.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “These are actually really nice headphones, especially for being 30$. They’re super soft and comfy, and the old pair I had lasted two years of being thrown at a wall, so they’re definitely durable. Great sound quality too! They don’t actively noise cancel, but they naturally block out most noise! A full battery charge lasts more than five hours straight!”
Customer Review: “Super easy to pair to phoneHigher quality than I expected for the priceI only use in the gym for an hour twice a week and so far zero complaints. Note: I’m not a sound snob I just don’t want to have to listen to the music in the gym. I think the sound quality is decent.”
Complete Buying Guide for Most Comfortable Travel Headphones
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing the most comfortable travel headphones, we look at several key aspects: the type of headphones (over-ear, on-ear, or in-ear), the weight and padding materials, and how well they fit different head sizes. Comfort during long wear is crucial, so soft memory foam or breathable fabric ear pads are preferred. Portability is also important, especially foldable designs or lightweight models that pack easily. Additionally, features like noise cancellation, battery life, and wireless connectivity matter depending on your travel style.
Budget Planning
Comfortable headphones come in a range of prices. Budget options often provide good comfort and sound but may lack advanced features like active noise cancellation. Mid-range headphones typically offer better materials, longer battery life, and improved sound quality. Premium headphones combine excellent comfort with advanced tech but at a higher cost. Decide your budget based on how often you travel and which features you prioritize.
Final Thoughts
Investing in comfortable travel headphones enhances your journey by reducing ear fatigue and improving sound quality. Consider your travel needs, preferred headphone type, and must-have features. Whether you want ultra-lightweight wired headphones or wireless noise-cancelling models, comfort should be at the forefront to ensure you enjoy your music, calls, or podcasts throughout your travels.

A: Wireless headphones eliminate cable tangles and offer more mobility, which many travelers find convenient. However, comfort depends on fit and padding rather than just wireless capability.
Q: How important is noise cancellation for travel headphones?
A: Noise cancellation is very helpful in noisy environments like airplanes or trains to block ambient noise. Active noise cancelling (ANC) headphones can significantly improve comfort by reducing outside distractions.
Q: Can I wear headphones comfortably with glasses?
A: Some headphones have larger ear cups and soft padding designed to reduce pressure on ears, making them more comfortable for glasses wearers. Look for models with roomy ear pads and adjustable headbands.
Q: How do I maintain comfort when wearing headphones for hours?
A: Take breaks, adjust the fit occasionally, and choose headphones with breathable materials and cushioned ear pads to prevent discomfort during long use.
