Because it’s a travel backpack, the weight of the backpack could vary and the cushion around the shoulder areas is so thick and then that it provides so much pressure relief from the weight of the backpack. There are straps in the front that Allows you to distribute the weight even more. The backpack have so much storage room and so many pockets both on the inside and outside that helps with organizing the contents in the pack. There’s so much cushion in the backpack that it’s excellent for any electronics being stored in the bag. All the zippers zip open and close freely and easily. Everything is stitched so well that it will not rip under the weight. The expansion allows an additional inches to give the versatility of this backpack. The side pockets are great for tumblers of any sizes. There are pockets on the inside that allows for easy access to travel documents or wallets. The material is a water resistant material that allows for easy cleaning.”

Almost all of the compartments have pockets in the liner for organization.The feature that makes this backpack stand out from other suitcase backpacks is the snap flaps on the main compartment that hold the cover from opening the full 180 degrees if opened while standing. This allows the bag to be a backpack when not traveling and still open to full suitcase access for travel.One small item that is kind of personal preference is the laptop pocket in the back only has one zipper pull instead of two found on most backpacks. The pull goes into the side pocket and can be a little difficult to quickly access – maybe it is a subtle security feature to make this pocket just a little more secure.”

Customer Review: “For trips this year to Alaska and Japan, I have been searching for a backpack big enough to hold some change of clothes and personal items–one that is big enough, but not super heavy to carry around on my back. I didn’t want to have the burden of rolling around two bags (counting my check in luggage) when arriving at my destination. I think this one will be perfect. The main area will easily hold 1-2 days of clothes and a pair of shoes, and there are several zipper compartments to fit personal items. So far I have only used it for an overnighter. It worked well and I felt very organized. The straps are soft and comfy. The zippers and material seem to be good quality. This will be the carry on I will use when taking trains and moving from one hotel to another (in Japan, they have luggage service that I will use to transport my bigger bag). So I typically look for a couple things in a travel backpack or as the airlines calls it, a personal bag. I want an easily accessible top location for my sunglasses and reading glasses and all the stuff I dump out of my pockets right before I go through the security check point. This bag’s top pocket is exactly what I think should be there. I also want an easily accessible pocket on the front for my ID, boarding pass, passport, etc. separate from the glasses/pocket stuff. This bag has that too in a zippered very front pocket. I also look for roomy space for my laptop and tablet, which is there. And I also look at quality in the back padding, straps, and bag stitching, which this bag holds up to well. In my opinion, it has it all. I also like how it opens in the center for easy access to everything inside. What an awesome find, sized just right for the person item category. It is too small if you are looking for a full carryon bag, but they make bigger bags for that. *Edit, It will carry a big water bottle on the side, which is another feature I need.”

Customer Review: “My wife and I have been in 7 countries in 12 months. In the past, we have each used 1 large suitcase and 1 small daypack for carryon. Recently, we have seen quite a few people having their luggage lost and didn’t want to risk it, so we bought a couple of these bags to use with the traditional roller carryon bags. I’m so glad we did! We just returned after 2 weeks in Europe and they were great! The bags don’t have a frame of any kind which I didn’t like at first, but this makes them more flexible – (one sleeve has thick padding for a laptop). They do fit under the in-front airline seat, even when fully packed, but they leave little space for your feet, probably not enough for most people – but I’m 6’3″ and am used to that. A few times, we put them in the overhead and they fit on their side just fine.The black color is a slightly heavier ballistic-type nylon (medium to light weight fabric) the grey color is more smooth like a ripstop nylon. The zippers, features and layout are perfect! There’s a place for everything. The quality is excellent at this price point. You can pay more but I don’t think you get more; we have no complaints. It’s better than a backpack (it opens like a suitcase) and better than a carryon (it can be used with or without shoulder straps). We have never used the packing cubes before but bought them for this last trip and we won’t travel without them now. I highly recommend cubes, even for this bag when used with a carryon roller. Bottom line: the features are very similar to other bags, but the quality is really the best. Now, with 2 carry-ons each, we don’t pack as much but found we really don’t need more. This is a game-changer.”
